WHO WE WORK WITH

NEURODIVERGENT INDIVIDUALS

Neurodivergent individuals may experience the world in ways that do not align with dominant expectations around communication, productivity, or emotional expression. Support is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach that values difference, attends to identity and self-understanding, and considers how systems and environments contribute to stress, masking, or burnout at different life stages.

People who come to us are often described as…

  • emotionally dysregulated or “too sensitive”
  • high masking but exhausted
  • struggling with motivation, organisation, or follow-through at work, school or within relationships (i.e., "school refusal")
  • functioning well externally while overwhelmed internally

They may carry labels such as…

  • ADHD
  • autism
  • obbsessive compulsive disorder
  • intellectual disability
  • communication disorders
  • dyspraxia/developmental coordination disorder
  • sensory processing disorder
  • gifted/twice-exceptional (2e)
  • specific learning disorders - dyslexia (reading), dyscalculia (math), dysgraphia (writing)
  • generalised anxiety disorder
  • depression
  • social anxiety
  • burnout or chronic stress

Support focuses on understanding how neurodivergent identity, expectations, and environments interact to produce distress.
