Psychological work at King Psychology is collaborative, reflective, and grounded in understanding rather than prescriptive models. Therapy is not about fixing or correcting you, but about making sense of experiences within their broader context including: personal history, neurodivergence, health, identity, and the systems you move through.
Sessions are shaped by your goals, pace, and preferences. This may include exploring patterns of distress, developing language for experiences that feel difficult to articulate, and building strategies that are practical, sustainable, and respectful of your needs. Therapy is flexible and responsive, recognising that change does not always follow a linear path.

Psychological care at King Psychology is approached as a collaborative and informed process, grounded in shared understanding, consent, and ongoing review. Care planning involves working together to clarify goals, consider current supports, and identify what level of care is most appropriate at different points in time.
At times, engaging safely in private practice psychological work may require additional or alternative supports. This may include stepping care up or down, coordinating with other services public or private, or pausing therapy to ensure safety and stability. These decisions are made thoughtfully, transparently, and with the individual’s wellbeing as the central priority.
Where helpful and with consent, collaboration may involve communication with other professionals or services involved in care. This coordination supports continuity, reduces fragmentation, and recognises that effective psychological work often sits within a broader network of support. Care plans remain flexible and responsive, acknowledging that needs can change over time and that safety and sustainability are essential foundations for meaningful therapeutic work.

NDIS funding may be used to access psychological support where clients are self-managed or plan-managed.
Invoices can be issued directly to a Plan Manager or to the client for reimbursement from NDIS funds.
NDIS-funded sessions generally include a 50-minute direct therapy session, followed by approximately 10 minutes for clinical case notes. There is flexibility in this structure to accomodate varying needs.
Any additional NDIS-related work such as report writing, participation in care team meetings, or correspondence with the client or their support team is billed at the NDIS rate reflecting the time required to complete these tasks. This ensures transparency and supports safe, coordinated care within the NDIS framework.
Fee: $232.99 per 60 minutes

All clients may access psychological support privately at full fee, without referral requirements or session limits. This pathway allows greater flexibility for individuals who may not have NDIS funding access, or who wish to engage in ongoing or intensive psychological work beyond rebated sessions.
Full-fee private work includes direct therapeutic sessions, and any additional professional tasks such as reports, care coordination, or meetings are billed separately, with arrangements discussed openly as part of collaborative care planning.
Fee: $260 per 50 minutes
